Cutting hair with a razor might seem intimidating, but once you learn how to hold, handle and properly use this versatile tool, you will take your creative edge to the next level. Spend a couple of days with us, and gain knowledge in theory and practice by understanding the “how” to cut hair and the ‘why’. Then push the boundaries of haircutting, and dive deep into the art of cutting hair with a razor. Start creating soft lines, graduation with movement, and layers with texture.
Small, intimate groups of up to eight participants. Both days are literally packed with demonstrations, real-time razor-cutting practical sessions, one-on-one instructions, and personal feedback and coaching.

The dynamics of haircutting - technique and shape.
The three main actions E.O.T. that give you complete control over the hair.
Anatomy and head shape and head mapping and effective sectioning for consistent results.
Understanding head diagrams.
A straight razor, over a guarded razor, over a shear, when, why, how, and which texture.
The agility of the razor - learn how to hold & use the tool safely and effectively.
Suitability and consultation - enhance your client's best facial features.
Body Kinetics - your body and hand position; the client's head and body position.
Preparing the hair before a haircut.
Practice proper technique and create perfectly imperfect shapes and edgy yet soft looks - shags, bobs, and pixies.
Balance and proportion - how to cross-check and re-examine for inconsistencies.
Refine and personalize with freehand razor-cutting techniques.
How to create space to encourage movement or how to build support.

To become a master and excel in your skill, you must first thoroughly understand the vital fundamentals of your craft. This course is designed with you in mind, focusing on understanding the What, When, Why, and How we Razor Cut hair (straightedge and guarded blade.). Each segment is broken down into an effective, easy-to-follow step-by-step process and real-time practical sessions while walking through it TOGETHER so you feel supported and confident and have fun learning it.
